Blue-eyed Grass - Sisyrinchium angustifolium
Sisyrinchium angustifolium, commonly known as Blue-eyed Grass, is a native perennial herbaceous plant admired for its delicate appearance and charming blue flowers. Despite its name, Blue-eyed Grass is not a true grass but belongs to the iris family. It thrives in full sun to partial shade and well-drained soils, commonly found in meadows, prairies, and open woodlands across North America. Blooming from late spring to early summer, it attracts pollinators such as bees and butterflies. Growing up to 1 foot tall, it features narrow, grass-like leaves and forms clumps. Blue-eyed Grass is ideal for rock gardens, borders, and native plant landscapes, adding color and texture while supporting local ecology.
