Baptisia australis or Blue False Indigo is an upright perennial that is typically found in well-drained soils of dry to medium moisture content. Plant in full sun where it may reach 3 to 4’ in height. Flowers occur during the Spring months, with blue-purple lupine like flower clusters up to 12” long. This is an effective ornamental in a naturalized setting or plant in mass for a real eye catcher.
