Description
Coreopsis auriculata, ‘Nana’, commonly known as Dwarf, Ear-Leaved, or Lobed Tickseed, as well as Mouse Ear Coreopsis, is noted for its compact, dwarf habit. Forming dense, bushy, slowly spreading mats of deep green foliage, this Coreopsis not only has brilliant yellow blooms May – June, but also serves as a showy evergreen groundcover. Ovate to lance-shaped leaves feature a pair of small lateral lobes which resemble mouse ears. While reaching only 6 – 9″ in height, it will slowly spread by underground runners to form a striking planting, up to 2′ wide in a year.
