Description
Wood Betony, Stachys monieri ‘Hummelo’, is a naturalized, perennial herb native to Europe and Asia and known for its flowers and foliage: erect lavender-purple blooms atop tall, leafless stems above small mounding clumps which spread over time to form a dense ground cover. This plant is adored for its strong flower production, reaching heights of 18-20″, with 18″ spread, and generally low maintenance and deer tolerance, though it requires full sun and medium water.
