Description
Gaura lindheimeri, commonly called Gaura or Bee Blossom, is a perennial wildflower native to Texas and Louisiana. Tall, thin flower spikes grow from a base of lance-shaped green leaves, frequently covered in red spots. Small, white blooms fade to pink with age. Blooms are highly attractive to native bees. Gaura requires full sun and good drainage to thrive. Plant in rock gardens or naturalized areas with native grasses and black-eyed susans.
