Description
Little Bluestem is a wide-ranging, native grass commonly found in prairies, hills, and roadsides throughout large areas of North America. Growing between 2 and 4 feet tall, Bluestem forms a large, attractive clump of green foliage with a blue tinge towards the base of the plant. In the fall, foliage turns an attractive rust color. Tolerant of a wide-range of soil types and dry conditions, it is easy and care free once established. Mass along borders or plant in small groups in wildflower gardens with Black-eyed Susans, Blazing Star, and coneflowers.
