Description
Adiatum pedatum, commonly called Northern Maidenhair Fern, is a clump forming deciduous native fern most often found on rich wooded slopes. Palmately compound fronds stand on long, wiry stems from 12”-30” tall.
Northern Maidenhair Fern prefers moist, humus-rich soil and does best in full shade to partial shade. It is An attractive ornamental for a woodland garden as a shaded border. We love it combined with Wild Ginger and Trilliums.
