Description
Echinacea pallida, ‘Hula Dancer’, is a stunning cultivar of Pale Purple Coneflower. Subdued pale-pink daisy-like petals surround a bold reddish central cone on blooms in June and July that reach 2 – 3′ in height, with leaves occuring only near the plant’s base. This species is distinguished by thin, extremely-reflexed flower rays which droop almost straight down, as well very narrow, parallel-veined leaves which have no teeth. Best in full sun, ‘Hula Dancer’ tolerates drought, heat, humidity and poor soils, and is quite adaptable to most landscapes.
